Welcome to the antler velvet blog!

Some of the best conversations about art happen outside galleries, outside classrooms, and outside the pages of magazines. They happen when somebody can't stop thinking about a poem they read on the train, a film they watched six months ago, or a painting they keep coming back to for reasons they can't quite explain.

We wanted to make a space for those conversations.

Here at Antler Velvet, we're incredibly lucky to work with a wonderful team of editors and contributors. With the launch of our blog, we're excited to open that conversation up even further, creating a space for both our staff and members of the wider community to share their ideas, perspectives, and passions. Expect essays, reviews, interviews, reflections, and plenty of unexpected rabbit holes.

One day you might be reading about acrostic poetry, the next about acrobatics in the visual arts. That's part of the fun.
